Stray Dog Cafe in Betdany

Food was good but service was terrible. This is the third time my friends and I have had this experience. I tried to pay this last Saturday at the register. The lady there basically ignored me. We didn't leave a tip and won't be back. I won't recommend this place anymore to anyone. Very disappointed!

We celebrated a breakfast brunch and really enjoyed our food, the coffee and the service. They have a shaded patio in front of the cafe which is a great place to visit while eating.

The waitress was wonderful and the food was delicious. Will definitely return!!!!

Great cafe for lunch in downtown Bethany. I had the BBQ burger and a side salad. The burger was good and was made better with the toasted bread. It took longer than normal for our food to come out, but we had a large group. There was also some confusion about who ordered what. The staff was friendly and I will go back, especially since I have heard their breakfast is great.

They have the Best homemade tartar sauce for their catfish. After I finished my fish I used the sauce for the fries 😉 instead of ketchup. Yummmmm

Locally Owned. They make a lot of their items from scratch. They serve every table popcorn. The homemade macaroni and cheese is a must! The homemade blueberry ice cream was good also. The owner came and visited our table and was readily available to anyone who wanted to say hello. Very friendly atmosphere.

We had to wait a long time for our food - hotdogs, burgers ,& a sandwich! The chili tasted like tomato sauce and the complimentary popcorn was dry and salty. My daughter put money in the jukebox and we couldn't even hear the songs that were playing. Never going back it was a waste of time and money :(

Great greasy spoon type of diner. Tasty menu items, all seemingly home made. Some might not enjoy a slightly longer wait for a table or food delivery, but it's well worth the time in my opinion.

Me and my wife have enjoyed dining here locally at Stray Dog in Bethany. Awesome food at good prices! The owner even stopped by our table and greeted us! If you're ever in town come and check them out!

For the past 4 years this is one of my top 2 places to eat at in the okc metro area. The owners and staff are just the sweetest people, their cooks are the best, and the food is outstanding. There is a small town friendly atmosphere here and your pups can join you on the patio, they'll give you a water bowl.From their breakfast to lunch selection, it's made from scratch, some are their own recipes, you cannot beat this quality. I am only sad that they are not open on Sunday and Monday and only serve dinner on Fridays and Saturdays. But other than that, to the staff at the Stray Dog Cafe, keep doing what you're doing because you guys are awesome!

Pretty good. Little pricey for breakfast food. I mean an egg is an egg and well not sure why theirs is so much more lol

People say I'm a grumpy old man and I've never written a review for a restaurant before so here goes these folks really honestly care about the food they serve. And the way they go out of there way to make every customer happy is unheard of in today's society. I almost hate telling everyone how amazing this place is I'm afraid I won't be able to get a seat . But these folks deserve accolades.

Awesome locally owned diner with great food and friendly service. The burgers and dogs are tasty; with specials that are generally more of a home style plate. Homemade pies and cakes to finish it all off. By far the best diner in Bethany!

I was told they had some of the best burgers in town. Can't say I was disappointed. The buns are a sweet jalepeno, different and amazing!

I have Yet to be disappointed. Always impressed with this delicious food. The meat is always piping hot when it arrives the sides are delicious and fresh it's all fresh. I will always come back as long as nothing changes.

A friendly neighborhood diner with awesome breakfast and burgers. Glad to bring out-of-town friends for a late breakfast-early-lunch. The coffee with a sweet and roasted note hits the spot and since it was after 12 nn, we all in unison picked the El Toro burger (be ready for the kick from jalapeños, habaneros jack, and ghost pepper mayo) and thoroughly enjoyed it!

My first visit to the Stray Dog (there MUST be a story behind the name) was a delight. The chili Frito pie with onions and challenging raw jalapenos was delicious. My wife testified that the burger was great. My buddy had two awesome hotdogs. Daily hot plate meals are on the menu. The staff are friendly and the kitchen is fast. We will return!

If you like HotDogs this is a really good place to eat. The personnel treat you like family and they're really honest when it comes to recommend plates. Will definitely return.

45 minutes in, still waiting on a burger and pancakes...about to walk out. My first time here and I’ve lived in the area 10 years, also the last time I will try this.Update, food was really, really good, it took an hour though. I was given a discount for the wait.

Upon the recommendation of people at a quilt shop, we stopped for lunch here. My wife had the basic Stray Dog; hot dog with chili and cheese. I had the Friday lunch special; fried catfish filets (cornmeal batter), with French fries, black beans, and a cornbread muffin. The catfish was the best I've had in a long time! The fries were not crispy, but tasted wonderful. The cornbread muffin was just slightly sweet, and soft, great with whipped butter. The iced tea was obviously fresh brewed.They have a variety of hotdogs with various toppings, hamburgers in various configurations, and other food too.

Food was ok service was poor. Ordered Coffee never got it and still was charged for it. Bad thing is that old employees and friends come in while there and the servers and owners stopped every thing and got them the items I ordered and then at check out did not check on the service and how things were but was asked to add tip at the register. Poor just going through the motions.

Quality food! We paid $30 for appetizer, two meals with a side, and two desserts. I got the macaroni dog. The macaroni was homemade and the hot dog was fresh on a Texas toast bun. My fiancee got the chili dog. Homemade chili on a Texas toast bun. And the desert was amazing! I highly recommend this place!
